Why Rihanna is one of the world’s best entrepreneurs and philanthropists

Written by Marleen A.

Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a singer, actress and business woman. We all remember her classic songs like “Umbrella” and “Pon De Replay” when she blew up in 2005. She has always been one of my favorite artists as a kid and I always loved singing her songs on karaoke. Rihanna has been an inspiration to many for nearly two decades.

Aside from her amazing music catalog, she is also a philanthropist. In 2012 Rihanna established The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) which supports and provides funding for children’s education, health, and emergency response programs around the world. Earlier this year CLF collaborated with #StartSmall, Jack Dorsey’s philanthropic initiative, to commit $15 million to 18 organizations in the U.S. and Caribbean.

“Climate disasters, which are growing in frequency and intensity, do not impact all communities equally, with communities of color and island nations facing the brunt of climate change,” stated Rihanna. She has also donated more than $6 million to domestic violence victims during the pandemic and also for COVID-19 relief efforts.

Her Savage X Fenty line first dropped in 2018. She then became the first black woman to lead a house under the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) brand when the Fenty designs launched in spring 2019. Rihanna has sold everything from clothing, makeup, accessories and perfume. She also has a gender neutral skincare line called Fenty Skin which was launched in 2020 and owns 50% of Fenty Beauty.

What I love about Rihanna is that her beauty line caters to people of color and I found it funny that as soon as she released her products other cosmetic companies scrambled to add more make up shades. There has always been a market for people of color but they have always been treated as an after thought. She has created so much variety of products in the world of Fenty Beauty she has created herself and shared globally. I have so much respect for Rihanna and she is someone I truly aspire to be more like. Don’t forget to listen to her song “Lift Me Up” that is featured in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie!

Thank you for visiting my page and I am always open to collaboration opportunities with other writers, businesses and ect.
